Major cliffhanger. Thank you for the review. I liked the book overall minus the cliffhanger -as usual but did have some mixed feelings that I agreed with on your review:. I was waiting for your review on this to see if anyone would agree with me that this was Now I know I am not crazy. Thanks Maryse.
Ok, Ok, Ok, I can see your point! I am still very glad I read it and will read the next.

Horrendously scary to think about, but it kept me reading! Looking forward to it!! I completely agree with you!

I have this book the same rating for exactly the same reasons. The cliffhanger was not as bad as it could have been, but I did feel like I read half a book. Thanks so much for the review and Happy Reading! I loved this book. I read your review last night and was sucked in by the normal best friend scenario my fave.

Went to bed at 2 and woke up at 7…my fiance even asked me if I had gone to sleep at all. That always sucks me in. My mind went numb. This seemed too surreal, like something out of a sci-fi movie.

The Dark Crystal - Encyclopedia - urUtt the Weaver
When Lolich first learned that Weaver had bypassed him in favor of Palmer, he said he wouldn't pitch at all in the ame. However, he quickly changed his mind, but not his feelings that he should start. When Campaneris arrived at Atlanta Stadium before the game, he said he was disappointed and upset when he learned that Grich would start. The player did eventually talk with the manager, but the player who didn't play at all, didn't stay around long enough after the game to tell about the conversation.
Less than 15 minutes after the contest ended, Campaneris's locker was complete cleaned out and he was gone. Actually, neither Campaneris nor Grich was the first reserve shortstop Weaver selected. Toby Harrah of Texas was. But when Aparicio withdrew, Weaver picked Campaneris because he was second in the voting. Then, when Harrah turned up injured, the manager took his own shortstop—and two days later decided to start him. So did Campaneris, and just about everybody also. That mae two pitchers perturbed at Weaver.
Bob Gibson, the National League starter, took exception yesterday to Weaver's comments about Gibson's remark that he'd rather not start in the game. After Lolich learned that he wasn't starting a writer called him and asked him what he thought.
